Warranty & Care
At ModiWrap, we stand by the quality of our workmanship and the premium finishes we install. Every project is carried out with care, precision, and attention to detail — and we back that up with a clear, fair warranty.
Our Warranty
We warrant that all installations completed by ModiWrap will be free from defects in both materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of installation.
If a defect covered by this warranty arises during that period, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the affected area, or
- Replace the affected material, or
- Provide a fair pro‑rata refund if repair or replacement is not practical.
What’s Covered
- Defects in the vinyl material itself (e.g., adhesive failure, abnormal shrinkage, delamination).
- Defects in workmanship (e.g., lifting edges, bubbling caused by improper application).
Like any premium finish, our wraps need to be cared for properly. To keep things clear, here’s what’s included and what isn’t.
What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear, scratches, dents, or scuffs from everyday use.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, impact, water exposure, or improper cleaning (abrasives, harsh chemicals, solvents).
- Heat damage from appliances, open flames, or cutting directly on the surface.
- Substrate issues such as peeling paint, water‑damaged cupboards, or structural defects.
- Any modification, tampering, or repair carried out by a third party.
- Any conditions, failures, or damages arising from circumstances beyond ModiWrap’s reasonable control.
Conditions
To keep our warranty fair and transparent, a few conditions apply:
- Warranty is valid only where installations have been properly cared for in line with our care guidelines.
- Warranty claims must be reported to ModiWrap within 14 days of discovery, with photos and proof of purchase.
- ModiWrap’s total liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the original invoiced value of the affected installation.
- ModiWrap is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, downtime, or costs of replacement services.
- This warranty is non‑transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Care Guidelines
To keep your installation looking its best:
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or solvents.
- Wipe spills promptly to prevent staining.
- Avoid placing hot objects directly on wrapped surfaces.
Warranty Questions (FAQ)
Does the warranty cover fading or colour change? No. Normal ageing or colour change over time is considered wear and tear, not a defect.
Can I transfer the warranty if I sell my property? No. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser.
What should I do if I notice a defect? Contact us at info@modiwrap.co.za within 14 days of noticing the issue. Please include photos, your invoice number, and a short description.
